Fishing Report for Week of January 11, 2012
Amistad
Water clear; 52–56 degrees; 9.24' low. Black bass are good on jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, jigging spoons, crankbaits and soft plastics. Striped
bass are good on jigs, spoons, slabs, and large jerkbaits. White bass are good on jigging spoons, grubs, and crankbaits. Catfish are fair on
cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers over baited holes. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines and throwlines baited with live perch. Everyone in
a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
Sam Rayburn
Water lightly stained; 55–58 degrees; 11.82' low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and Rat–L–Traps.
White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver.
Toledo Bend
Water stained; 54–58 degrees; 10.06' low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms with chartreuse tails. Striped bass are
fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on Li'l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Bream are fair on worms.
Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.

Falcon
Water stained; 60–64 degrees; 28.44' low. Black bass to 13 pounds are fair on bladed spinnerbaits and large soft plastic worms. Crappie
are fair on chartreuse jigs. Striped bass are still in the lake in limited numbers. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on cut bait, shrimp,
and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. If fishing the Mexican side, everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license whether fishing or
not.
